Are you still in shock? I know I am. I am still walking around shaking my head and asking "What was he thinking" Jason Mesnick dropped the big bomb on Melissa! The reasonable and lovable Jason has turned into one of the most hated dude in the world last night after he dumped the sweet and likable brunette for the blond that he should have chosen in the first place.
Okay, I must admit that during the selection process after the girls met the family and interacted with Ty.....yeah Melissa seemed like the natural choice for his little boy because of the instant connection that the two had. To me, she presented herself more like a "perfect candidate as a baby sitter". She just seemed too eager and just a little bit too to gregarious for Jason's personality. Yeah you can see the sparks in his eyes each time the camera showed him interacting with her but I just did not see them together as a couple in the long run. Besides, how can anyone proposed to a girl without first meeting her parents? I guess I'm just too old fashioned but that should have been a red flag. A sign that a potential problem could surface. After all meshing well with your potential in laws is so critical to have a healthy partnership.
Appearance wise, Molly is not as stunning as Melissa but when she presented herself. I just thought for being 24 Molly has a great head on her shoulders. The girl took control of the situation. She planned an incredible evening for the two of them. Gave him a sensuous massage, cooked dinner for him.... a hallmark that she could potentially be a very nurturing partner and a great sign to be a great catch for him and his son. Best of all she made a little scrap book documenting their lives together! Now you know if you are into scrap booking ....it takes commitment to sit down and invest that time: ) So how could he not pick her!
Even though I did not feel right when he proposed to Melissa, what he did to her on national tv is simply cold and regrettable. He may have his reasons but if I were Molly I would have dumped his you know what and walked out! Oh Jason, Jason. tsk. tsk I am so disappointed. Who would have thought that the perfect gentleman could go so bad. Poor little Melissa. I feel her pain. But you know what, ABC should capitalize on having her as the new Bachellorette for the next season. What do you think? : ) Don't you just love Reality TV? LOL!
