A new Best Friend for 2010

 

A s I hit  middle age

....{uggh that sounds awfully cruel}  I noticed, that I really have to start finding a new best friend. 

Well .....a new best friend for my face that is.  My skin around the delicate eye areas have surrendered to fine lines and the horrid .... deeper lines especially bad on my left side.  I stopped by the Origins counter yesterday and picked up this revolutionary eye cream to help diminish the unwelcome and unwanted lines that are slowly taking up residence around my eyes.

I haven't  really used any serious eye cream or moisturizer {my skin is prone to break outs when I use it} except for the occasional dab of Oil of Olay but this year it's a must for me.  I'm ready to start over with this new age erasing wonder that'll help reduce the appearance of lines & wrinkles. 

I'm excited because I've been using their Modern Friction since August of last year and have become a believer.  I am truly loving the freedom of blemish free skin {except for the occasional breakouts}.

I was at the grocery store and got a glimpse of Michelle Williams on the cover of  Vogue  & had to stop.  Her new do is so chic.  The colors are striking and I was mesmerized.

Just a couple of days ago I was telling my soon to be teenager son to take a shower daily because his oily hair around his forehead will cause him to break out!  And lo and behold Allure Magazine is saying the same old thing.

Want a shine free face that lasts for hours? I know I do.  Searching for the right face powder to control my pesky & over producing sebaceous glands at bay was not an easy feat.

Modern Friction by Origins

For years I have battled oily skin and break outs. If you have this dilemma, you know it could be very frustrating to find just the right skin care.  And believe me when I say frustrating, that means countless hit or miss trials of  figuring out what suits my ultra sensitive skin. Many years of  visits to the dermatologist left me absolutely discouraged. But for whatever reason when I changed my dermatologist and skin care products, my skin started to clear up.  Thank goodness for Modern Friction...it has become my perfect cleanser that seems to really clear up my skin.

 

The direction says use it 2 to 3 times a week..but I use it everyday to remove my make up (except eyes....be very careful not to get it around your eyes...very uncomfortable and stings like crazy) and use it as a cleanser.   I wait for my skin to completely dry .... for at least an hour and then I apply my prescription medication.

Since my skin is on the very oily side, I avoid moisturizer....( I have not used it for several years....10+ years).  I can not begin to tell you how liberating it is to finally have clearer skin. For years I longed so much to have  healthy looking skin and now I can honestly say that I believe I'm on my way.
